Marian Marburger

Marian Louise (Tingley) Marburger, 96, formerly of Geneva, PA passed away December 8, 2018 at Wesbury United Community.  Marion was born October 8, 1922 in Geneva PA, the daughter of the late George and Lillian (Rick) Tingley.  On March 25, 1941 Marion married George D. Marburger. He preceded her in death on February 19, 2008.

Through the years, Marian worked as a cafeteria volunteer at the KOW during the war, the Viscose cafeteria, MMC surgery department as a surgical technician and Mama Bear’s Country Inn as a prep cook.

She was the president of the Women’s Auxiliary to support the newly founded Greenwood Fire Department sixty years ago.  Through their marriage, she helped her husband build their home from hand.

Marian will be remembered as a dedicated wife and mother that was well mannered, quiet and nurturing with high morals.  She loved the Lord.

Marian is survived by one daughter; Linda Jessup (Charles) of Linesville, PA and two sons; Michael Marburger of Livingston, MT and Gary (Linda) Marburger of Cochranton, PA. Marian is also survived by eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren,  a sister, Twila Aylsworth of Guys Mills, PA and a brother Bill (LaVon) Tingley of Conneaut Lake, PA.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband, George, her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Calling hours for Marian will be Tuesday December 11, 2018 from 2pm to 4 pm and 6pm to 8pm and Wednesday December 12 from 1pm to 2pm at the Dickson Funeral Home, 130 N. Second Street Conneaut Lake, PA.  The funeral will be held at 2pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Interment will be private at the Geneva Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Greenwood Fire Department 15444 State Highway 285 Conneaut Lake PA. 16335.
