Marian Alice Mcclimans

Marian Alice McClimans, age 85, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020.

Marian was born on January 12, 1934, in Geneva, PA, a daughter of Gladys Creswell (Powell) and Charles Paull. She married her “dream boat” Merle Harvey McClimans on December 4, 1952, they resided in Hartstown, PA. He preceded her in death. She had two sisters Wilma “Jane” McGee and Helen Cadman, who also preceded her in death.

Marian attended Jamestown high school. In her early years she was a waitress at Goody Plaza, a member of the West Fallowfield election board, and Hartstown VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She also participated in a bowling league, birthday club, and many card games with friends. She ritually attended her class reunions. Marian was an avid reader and antique collector. She enjoyed bingo, bargain hunting at garage sales and thrift stores, and loved spending time with her family.

Marian is survived by six children, Karen Royer, of Ashtabula, OH, Merle “Chuck” (Jody) McClimans of Conneaut Lake, Kathy (Joe) Amon of Conneaut Lake , Gladys Weaver of Jamestown, Jo (Darwyn) White of Conneaut Lake, and Ken (Melody) McClimans of Hartstown. Marian was proud to have 14 grandchildren, Charles, Jeromy, Juliana, Megan, Jessica, Dustin, Vanessa, Becky, Hope, Brooke, Bobby, Steven, Monica, and Travis. 16 great-grandchildren, Odessa, Mike, Zack, Desiree, Ryan, Gabriella, Oscar, Julian, Alexis, Jeromiah, Hunter, William, Andrew, Leo, Sebastian, and Alaina. As well as 3 great-great grandchildren.

Per Marian’s wishes there will be no public service. Condolences can be shared on the funeral home’s website at hatheway-tedesco.com. A private memorial will be held at a future date.
