Marie E. Hale

Marie E. Hale, age 88, formerly of Ravine Street, Meadville, and for the past 14 years a resident at the Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown, died there on Saturday, August 3, 2013. She was born on November 11, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Margaret (Becker) Stillman. She married Robert E. Hale on October 15, 1949. He preceded her in death on November 8, 2005. She was of the Catholic Faith. She had been employed as a crossing guard at Neason Hill School. She was a former member of the Meadville Eagle's Club Women's Auxiliary. She especially enjoyed playing cards, reading and making crafts. She is survived by three daughters; Lynn Williams of Meadville, PA, Allyson DiFeo and her husband, Dan of King of Prussia, PA, and Rita Steger and her husband Keith of Adamstown, PA, a granddaughter, Jenna DiFeo of King of Prussia, PA, a sister, Connie Coy of Dearborn, Michigan, and a step-sister, Mildred Hall of Meadville, PA, and all of the staff and friends that she made while living at the Crawford County Care Center In addition to her parents, and her husband, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Marie Stillman, and a step-sister, Shirley Marhoffer. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 PM on Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA. The funeral service will follow at 4 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
