Marilyn A. Hart

March 26, 1938 — September 3, 2017

Marilyn A. Hart, age 79 of Meadville, passed away on Sunday, September 3rd, 2017, at Wesbury.               She was born March 26, 1938 in Meadville, the daughter of Marshall Ricke and Mamie Deane Ricke.  Marilyn and George L. Hart were married on March 1, 1958; George died on February 21, 1993.              She graduated from Meadville High School in 1956, and worked for the VanTuil’s until her children were born.  Marilyn was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and the Women’s Circle.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.             Survivors include: two daughters, Susan Favorite and her husband Glenn, and Kelle Sheckler and her husband Michael, all of Meadville.  She is also survived by her grandchildren: Ryan Favorite, and his wife Kc of Wheaton, Illinois, Dustin Favorite and his long time companion Sydney Mihailoff of Vero Beach, Florida, Kaleb Sheckler of Meadville and Kinslee Sheckler of  Meadville, a brother-in-law Richard Hunter of Harmonsburg, and many nieces and nephews also survive.             Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband George; her parents Marshall and Mamie, and a sister Shirley Hunter.             Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematorium, 614 Baldwin St. Meadville, where a funeral service will be held the following morning at 11 AM, with the Reverend Sarah Roncolato and Reverend Rebecca Patterson, officiating. Marilyn will be laid to rest next to George in Evergreen Cemetery, Harmonsburg.             Memorials may be sent to the Yolanda G Barco Oncology Institute, 16792 Conneaut Lake Rd.
