Marilyn Krueger

July 31, 1936 — December 13, 2020

Marilyn Rose Krueger, age 84, formerly of Rogers Ferry Rd. Meadville, most recently a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, was welcomed home to her Lord and Savior, Sunday, December 13, 2020.  She was born on July 31, 1936 in Meadville, PA to the late Oliver and Margaret (Hughes) Watt.  She married Donald P. Krueger on June 11, 1959.  He preceded her in death on July 26, 2020.

Marilyn was a 1954 Meadville High School graduate and then went on to earn her Registered Nursing degree.  She was employed as a Registered Nurse at Meadville Medical Center (both Spencer and City Hospitals), Greenville Hospital, Avtex Fibers and VNA.

She was a long-time member of First Christian Church of Meadville.

Family was most important to Marilyn; especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. Marilyn had a deep compassion, and an amazing heart for taking care of and nurturing people, including all in need during her profession, and many outside of her hospital career.  The highlight of her life was her two-week medical mission trip on the Amazon River in Brazil.  She loved wintering at her home in Dunedin, FL.   She also enjoyed roller skating with her husband at Joyland, golfing and spending summers camping with many of her family.

Marilyn is survived by one daughter, Dianne Kearney and her husband, Todd of Largo, FL; two sons, Donald M. Krueger and his wife, Sandra Barretta-Krueger of Meadville, PA and Dale Krueger of Meadville, PA; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Greer of Dunedin, FL, one brother Bill Watt and his wife, Linda of Lake City, PA, and brother-in-law Karl “Bus” Krueger of Saegertown, PA.

Due to COVID 19, there are no services scheduled.
