Martha Bookamer

Martha Lee Bookamer, age 96, of Meadville, PA passed away Wednesday July 10, 2024 in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.  She was born on August 5, 1927 in Greene, OH to the late Michael and Effie (Raga) Pachuk.  She married William T. Bookamer on September 18, 1948. He preceded her in death on June 6, 1991.

Martha was a 1945 graduate of Conneautville High School. She was a homemaker, a member of the Vernon Club, past president of the Vernon Lioness Club and a member of St. John’s U.C.C. where she taught Sunday school for 13 years.  She was employed at Viscose.  She enjoyed living in Palm Beach Gardens Florida in the winter months.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Lee Bookamer Joseph and her husband, Tom of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; two sons, William T. Bookamer Jr. and his wife, Octavia of Kingston, TN and Thomas J. Bookamer and his wife, Linda of Meadville, PA and 7 grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Ray Bookamer; three brothers, John Pachuk, Frank Pachuk and Nick Pachuk and three sisters, Kathryn Chery, Anne Peterson and Alyce Peterson.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday July 16, 2024 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM at Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 North 2nd Street, Conneaut Lake, PA. 16316.  A private family funeral will be conducted at St. John’s Cemetery.
