Mary Katherine Sheckler Gehres

Mary Katherine Sheckler Gehres, age 62, of Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania passed away at Meadville Medical Center on Sunday, April 17, 2016. She was born in Meadville, PA on October 17, 1953, the daughter of the late Violet Comber Betts and Arden Betts.             Mary enjoyed quilting and sewing, and made afghans for her grandchildren and was in the process of making another one.             She is survived by her husband Robert Harold Gehres, of Conneaut Lake, her son Curtis Reese and his wife Jennifer and their two children Cailyn Reese and Miranda Reese, all of Sterling, VA. She is further survived by two sisters; Debera Gregor and her husband Frank of Meadville, PA, and Robin Washok and her husband John of Cochranton, Pa; two brothers, Fred Betts and David Betts.             Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Bonnie Shaulis, who passed in April two years ago, along with Bonnie’s husband Fred, and by her adopted parents James and Willieanna Sheckler who cared and raised her from an early age.             Funeral service will be private and at the convenience of the family.
