Mary Henry

Mary Viola Henry, age 83, formerly of Hobbs Road, Meadville, PA passed away after an extended illness at Crawford County Care Center on May 9, 2020.  She was born February 5, 1937 in Meadville, PA to the late Gerald and Viola (Grams) Smith.  She married Robert Kenneth Henry on November 26, 1955.  He preceded her in death on April 19, 2018.

Mary spent her days as a housewife.  She enjoyed baking and cake decorating, shopping, going to garage sales and flea markets, playing Bingo and doing crafts.

She is survived by three sons; Larry Henry and his wife, Cheryl, Samuel Henry and Stephen Henry and two daughters; Carolyn Swanson and her husband, David and Cheryl Lucas and her husband, George; twelve grandchildren: Madonna, Ronnie, Tricina, Tawnya, Danny, Amber, Brianna, Shawn, Kevin, Alissa and Julia; five step-grandchildren: Jerry, Bobbie Jo, Stephanie, Billy and Eddie; 25 greatgrandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; a half-sister, Dolores Yoset; a half-brother, Glenn Smith and several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Daniel Henry; an infant sister, Madonna Smith; a sister, Barbara Sutton; a brother, Sylvester Smith and one half-brother, Kenny Smith.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 from 12-2:00 pm at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335.  There will be a time of sharing at 2:00 pm.  Strict CDC guidelines will be followed in accordance with the current COVID-19 pandemic regulations.
