Mary Eloise Lelko, age 78 of Meadville, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 28, 2015,at Meadville Medical Center with the sun shining down on her. She was born in Mount Hope on July 7, 1936 the daughter of the late Arthur and Mae Murdoch Daniels. Mary was raised in Conneautville by her mother. She married Walter J. "Baldy" Lelko on June 9, 1962. She graduated from Conneaut Valley High School. Throughout the years Mary worked at various places. She worked at G.C. Murphy, Viscose and C & J Industries where she retired in 1996. She was a hard worker and wasn't afraid to do an honest day's work. Every day after work she went home and made dinner. Mary loved to cook, sew and play in her flower beds. She loved to grow her lilies that were magical and she loved to share her flowers with everyone. In addition to her husband of 52 years, Walter J. "Baldy" Lelko, she is survived by her son, Scott Lelko of Conneautville, PA; her daughter Elizabeth of Saegertown, PA, two grandchildren; Brittney Peterson of Cochranton, PA and Bethany Lelko of Saegertown, PA who loved their Grandma dearly, a sister; Shirley Frazier of Saegertown, PA and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and LaVon Tingley of Geneva, PA, brother-in-law Sam Lelko of Florida.. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a son, Walter James "Junior" Lelko Jr. and several nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Relay for Life of Meadville, 505 Polar Street, Suite 310, Meadville, PA 16335. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5 to 7 PM at the Dickson Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N Second Street, Conneaut Lake, PA 16316. The funeral service will be at 7 PM on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor David Brumagin, Pastoral Care at Meadville Medical Center, officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
