Mary Hannah McMurdy Loutzenhiser, 76 of Cochranton, passed away unexpectedly at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Erie, PA on Thursday, March 15, 2018. She was born October 5, 1941 in President, PA a daughter of Joseph McMurdy and June McCalmont McMurdy Shawkey. She is survived by her life companion, Ronald Karl Gardner. Mary was a graduate of Franklin High School. She was also a graduate of Meadville City Hospital School of Nursing as an R.N. She worked at PPG for 10 years and then retired from Meadville Medical Center. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. She volunteered at the church, numerous councils and was in charge of the Flood Buckets and Healthcare Kits. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies Society and the Crawford County Travel Club. She also enjoyed gardening and bird watching. She found great joy in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her four children, Regina Hatton and her husband Dale of Saegertown, PA; Joseph Loutzenhiser and his wife Vicky of Cochranton, PA; twins, Michael Loutzenhiser and his wife Kimberly of Spring Grove, PA and Michelle Loutzenhiser and her husband Jack of Cochranton, PA; eight grandchildren, Samantha Wilkinson and her husband Garrett; Shannon Hatton; Nichole Litwiler and her husband Joshua; Joshua Loutzenhiser and his wife Mariah; Lauren Loutzenhiser; Jeffrey Knippenberg and his wife Andrea; Ashley Grissinger and her husband Justin; Rebecca Zischkau and her husband Steven; Amanda Howett. Also, ten great-grandchildren: Layla, Macy, Raelyn, Morgan, Jason, Madison, Raelyn, Landon, Braedon and Margaret. In addition to her parents and former husband, David Loutzenhiser, she was preceded in death by two infant sisters. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 pm to 7 pm at the DICKSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 130 N. SECOND STREET, CONNEAUT LAKE, PA. Additional calling will be held Monday from 2 pm to 3 pm until the time of the funeral service at 3 PM at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 240 N Third Street, Conneaut Lake, PA. A private burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church Ladies Auxiliary, 240 N Third Street, Conneaut Lake, PA 16316.
