Mary E. Riley, “Peg” age 87 of Geneva, passed on Sunday May 1,2016 at the Marquette Hospice House in Meadville. Peg was born on July 12, 1928 in Shippensburg, PA, the daughter of John Hancock and Rhoda Warren (Hancock). She was married to John Albert Riley, who preceded her in death on November 4, 2003. Peg was a “stay-at-home” Mom; and helped to raise her grandchildren. She was a member of the Methodist Faith. Surviving Peg are 3 daughters: Rhoda Pearl Bailey and her husband Paul of Geneva, Linda Piatt of Geneva, and Pamela Riley and her companion Wayne Simmons of Geneva. Eight grandchildren also survive: Paula Bowman, Frank Bailey, Melissa Black, Peggy Sue Bailey, Erik Piatt, Hank Piatt, Alyssa Ferguson, and Audra Rendulic. Sixteen great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren are also surviving. Two sisters also survive: Pearl Schneider and her husband Ray of Conneaut Lake, and Dorothy Heckman of Shippensburg. Many nieces and nephews are also surviving. Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband , are a grand-son John “Jed “ Piatt, and 10 sisters and brothers. Calling hours for Mary E. Riley will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, Conneaut Lake, PA. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 4, 2016 at 10 AM. at the funeral home, with Pastor Larry Miller, of Faith United Methodist Church, Geneva, officiating Interment will take place in Geneva Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to the Greenwood Volunteer Fire Department, 15444 St Hwy 285, Conneaut Lake, PA 16433. The funeral arrangements for Mary E.
