Mary Ruck

Mary Catherine Ruck, age 82, of Jamestown, PA and formerly of the Pittsburgh Area passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at her residence with her daughter by her side. She was born November 17, 1933 in Richmond, Virginia, the daughter of the late Harry Buchanan and Catherine Chiccine Buchannan.  She married Richard Dayton Ruck on June 21, 1952.  He preceded her in death on July 25, 2000. Mary retired from the Woodville State Hospital in Avalon, PA where she had been employed in the Food Service Department. She was of the Christian Faith. She enjoyed gardening, watching QVC, and especially enjoyed the time spent with her loving family. Mary is survived by a daughter: Denise Linn Ruck, where she had resided, of Jamestown, PA, two sons: Michael David Ruck and his wife Tammy of Lorain, Ohio, and Shawn Patrick Ruck and his wife Susan of Butler County, PA, a grandson: Randall Ryan Ruck and his wife Shelley of Brunswick, Ohio, a great-grandson: Dayton Ruck, a great-granddaughter: Christine Ruck, a sister: Emma Batchik of New Concord, Ohio, a brother: Thomas Buchanan and his wife Palma of New Galilee, PA, a brother: Patrick Buchanan of Beaver County, Pa, a half-brother: Daniel Sprague and his companion Debbie of Beaver County, PA, and her sister-in-law: Aggie Buchanan of California. In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by a brother Smokey Buchanan. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
