Mary Rosalin “Rose” Shaw of Meadville, PA passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Wesbury United Methodist Community after a long battle with cancer. She was born August 18, 1947 in Sugarcreek Township, Venango County the daughter of the late Frank Ward Swogger and Eleanor Viola Hogg Swogger. She married Arthur David Shaw on August 27, 1966 in Meadville, PA. He survives. She had been employed as a bus driver for Hubbard Bus Service Inc. and previously worked as a cook at the Bethesda Children’s Home. She enjoyed cooking and working on genealogy. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Arthur David Shaw of Meadville, PA, a daughter: Diane Marie Rodgers and her husband Adam of Meadville, PA, two sons: Arthur David Shaw Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Union City, PA and Timothy James Shaw and his wife Trina of Atlantic, PA, six grandchildren: David Arthur Shaw, Michael Edwin Shaw, Grace Pearl Shaw, Dana Jaelynn Shaw, Tyler James Shaw and Ryan James Rodgers, a sister: Ilajean Lena Pusbach of Meadville, PA, two brothers: Donald Stephen Swogger and his wife Debra of Columbus, Ohio and James Dale Swogger and his wife Betty of Saegertown, PA, a brother-in-law: Edward Charles Shaw, at Wesbury, and a sister-in-law: Barbara Elise Shaw of Saegertown, PA. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law: Richard Ronald Pusbach and Floyd George Shaw. Family and friends are welcome to call on Monday, July 18, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM and on Tuesday from 10 until 11 AM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA. All are welcome to attend the funeral service at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA, with Pastor Sam Marchetta, of Wesbury officiating. Burial will follow in the Greendale Cemetery.
