Max E. Davis

            Max E. Davis, age 69, of Cambridge Springs, PA passed away on October 16, 2016 after a brief illness.  He was born November 17, 1946 in Meadville, PA, the son of the late Paul (Jack) Davis and Shirley Spotts Davis.  He married Susan Conrad on June 3, 1967, she survives.             Max was a graduate of Cambridge Springs High School Class of 1965. He was a building contractor for many years before his employment with Lord Corporation. After thirty-two years of service at Lords Corporation, he retired in 2009.             He enjoyed helping on his son Max Jr.’s farm, tending to ducks, rabbits, chickens, goats, a dog and many cats. Also enjoyed time spent in Florida where his daughter Krista resides. Max loved to travel, his trips to Alaska and Hawaii highlighted those adventures. Max was a kind man and will be remembered for his great sense of humor.             Max is survived by his wife of 49 years, Susan Davis of Cambridge Springs, his son: Max Davis, Jr. of Cambridge Springs and daughter Krista O’Neal and her husband Josh of Orlando, FL. He is also survived by grandchildren Kadyn O’Neal and Arabella O’Neal of Orlando, FL. Survivors also include a sister Renee Atkin and her husband Dale of Venango, brother Paul Davis and his wife Dee of Reading, Pa, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.             Max was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Shirley and in-laws Al and Vivian Conrad.             At Max’s request services will be private.
