Michael Sedlak

Michael “Mike” Sedlak of Meadville, age 84, passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2018 at Meadville Medical Center.  He was born August 31, 1934 in Spring Creek, PA to the late John and Sophie (Bator) Sedlak.  He married Norma Jean Monnin on August 31, 1957. She survives. Mike graduated from Penn State University with a degree in business.  He worked as an accountant for Talon and Quaker State in Oil City.  He enjoyed working outdoors and watching football.  He was a former member of the Meadville Jaycees and he played football in his younger years.  Mike was of Catholic faith. In addition to his wife, Norma Jean, of 61 years,  he is survived by two daughters; Michele Bralich of Montrose, CO and Susanne Cunningham and her husband, Al of Crestwood, KY, two sons; Doug Sedlak and his wife, Drewanne of Pittsboro, NC and Jeffrey Sedlak of Melbourne, FL, three grandchildren; Heather, Nicole and Alexa; one sister, Frances Stehulak of Defiance, OH; two brothers, Martin Sedlak of Spring Creek, PA and George Sedlak of Warren, PA as well as several nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by a brother, John Sedlak and a sister, Mary Sedlak. Services will be private.
