Michael E. Wilfong

Michael E. (Uncle Mike) Wilfong, age 65, of Meadville, PA passed away on Monday, November 3, 2014 at Meadville Medical Center. He was born March 3, 1949 in Meadville, PA the son of the late Everette and Elizabeth Schlosser Wilfong. Michael was employed at Vallonia Industries in Meadville, PA. He was affiliated with the First Baptist Church, Meadville, PA. He was a member of the ARC, the Oasis, the Drop in Center and loved and enjoyed the time he spent with Special Olympics. He won numerous medals over the years. There was not a time or place where Mike would go that he didn't know someone's face. Michael was a avid Cleveland Browns football fan. Michael is survived by his cousins; David Wilfong and his wife, Cindy and their daughter, Sarah of Glen Rock, PA, Joseph Ober of Conneautville, PA, Jackie Ober of Meadville, PA and Jill Ober of Meadville, PA, his other family, Bill Davis and his wife Cathy and their two daughters, Celena and Austin all of Linesville. He is further survived by many friends. In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by three uncles, Howard Wilfong of Matthews, North Carolina, Leonard Wilfong of Fort Recovery, Ohio and Harold Denver Wilfong of Laguna Woods, California, and his legal guardian Jeanne Ober of Conneautville, PA. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 11 AM until 1 PM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA The funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Jones of the Conneautville Church of Christ, officiating.
