Nancy Aubel

Nancy Ann Aubel, age 88, of Conneaut Lake, PA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 21, 2021.  She was born on July 24, 1932 in Crafton, PA to the late Robert and Sara (Gordon) Wright.  She married Donald E. Aubel on June 9, 1956.  He preceded her in death on December 27, 2014.

Nancy graduated from Indiana State Teacher’s College.  She was an elementary teacher in the Crafton School District.

She loved Conneaut Lake and the Conneaut Lake Historical Society.  She was a social member of the Conneaut Lake Park VFD-Station #5 and enjoyed Friday night dances at the Park Fire Hallwith her husband and friends.   She loved golfing at Oakland Beach.

Nancy is survived by her three children, Paul Donald Aubel of Conneaut Lake and his significant other, Shelly Burchard of Meadville, PA, Carol G. Ladner and her husband, Brian of Conneaut Lake, PA, Craig Edward Aubel and his wife, Karen of Levittown, PA; 7 grandchildren, Chelsea McLaughlin and her husband, Levi, Kori Aubel, Jordan Aubel, Matthew Rodgers, Erin Rodgers, Jonathan Aubel and Kyle Aubel; 1 great-grandchild, Addilynne McLaughlin and her former daughter-in-law, Dawn Sharp Aubel of West Middlesex, PA and former son-in-law, David Rodgers of Lock Haven, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don; her sister, Audrey Polen and her brother, Robert Wright.

All services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Nancy will be buried next to her husband, Don at Shenango Valley Cemetery.
