Nancy Patterson

Nancy J. (Young) Bailey-Patterson passed away at UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA on Wednesday April 12, 2023.  She was 79.

Nancy was born on August 7, 1943 in Porter Township, Clarion County, PA to the late Walter and Freda (Smith) Young.  She was preceded in death by both parents; her first husband, Byrum Bailey; an infant sister, Margie; her sister, Betty Durney and her brother, Art Young.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan L. Bailey and Tami Patterson and one grandson, Marcus Henderson, all of Meadville.

Nancy acquired her GED in 1983.  She worked at Meadville Medical Center in Environmental Services and other hospitals and nursing homes as a cleaner.  Nancy enjoyed being with family and friends, fishing, attending church, camping, going for rides and Sudoku.  Over the years her hobbies included crocheting, riding her bike, jigsaw puzzles and creations with plastic canvas.

There will be no calling hours.  After cremation, Nancy will be buried at Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery in Goheenville, PA beside her first husband.
