Nathaniel Gabriel Harry “Nate the Great”, age 33, of Meadville, PA passed away on Sunday November 12, 2023 at UPMC Shadyside after a courageous 1.5 year battle with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He was born on October 23, 1990 in Meadville, PA to William E. and Denise L. (McNulty) Harry.
Nathaniel graduated from PALCS in 2009. He attended Edinboro University pursuing a degree in Art Therapy. He enjoyed his time working at Hermitage House and Hand in Hand Christian counseling. Most recently, he attended Victory Church of Coitsville, OH virtually and formerly attended Living Waters Church.
Nathaniel was a member of the Veteran Memorial Pipe Band with his father, where he played the tenor drums. He once won junior drummer of the year for the Eastern U.S. Pipe Band Association. Nate was a gifted artist and always had a pen or pencil in his hand. In 2007, he won a scholarship by placing in the National Fine Arts competition and participated in Teen Bible Quiz through Assemblies of God. He taught AWANAS at First Baptist Church. He also enjoyed going to trout camp with his cousins and friends. Nathan was very proud of his Celtic heritage and taught himself to read and speak Gaelic.
Along with his parents, Nathaniel is survived by his sister, Emily Entwistle, her husband, Sean and their son, Shay of Ellwood City, PA; his pseudo-sister, Michel Peters and her daughters, Emaleigh and Delaine Stokes of Meadville, PA; his honorary mom, Marsha Wagner; his aunts and uncles, Gail McNulty of IA, Carla Teasdale and her husband, Sam of SC, Edward Harry and his wife, Kelle of Meadville, Susan King and her husband, Bruce of Saegertown, Greg Harry and his wife, Susie of Cochranton and John Harry and his wife, Wilma of Saegertown and numerous cousins and great-cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Pat and Dorothy McNulty; his paternal grandparents, Edgar and Sherry Harry and his great-grandmothers, Nona Harry and Lucille Laver.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday November 17, 2023 from 11am-1 pm at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Juan Rivera of Victory Church of Coitsville, OH officiating.
