Patricia (Patti) Waring

October 4, 1941 — December 24, 2016

Patricia (Patti) Waring, age 73 of Linesville, passed away on December 24, 2016 after a lengthy battle with cancer at her residence.              Patti was born on October 4, 1941 in Pittsburgh to the late Harry Scherer and Loretta Weppler Scherer.              She graduated from St. Georges High School in 1959 of Pittsburgh and then went to a trade school for computer programming. From trade school, she started working at Bell Telephone Company.  She worked there for 10 years, then married her late husband and moved to Ashtabula, OH.  Patti then began working at ESAB Welding.  She worked there for 18 years.  On October 14 2003, Patti married Roger Waring.  He survives her.  They retired to Linesville.              Patti was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Philip’s Church.  She also attended Pennline Church of Christ with Roger.  Patti was a member of VFW Post #7842, American Legion Post #0462 and Pymatuning Sportsman’s Club.  Patti Loved reading, going on cruises, camping in their 5th wheel, gardening in their flower beds and watching the wildlife from their back porch.              Surviving Patti in addition to her husband Roger are three step-children, eight-step-grandchildren and a brother Harry Scherer and his wife Diana of Pittsburgh.              In addition to her parents and her late husband Walter Mullen, Pattie was preceded in death by a sister Midge Dickson and a brother Raymond Scherer.  Per Patti’s request, there will be no services.             Please sign Patti’s online guestbook at hatheway-tedesco.com              Arrangements are under the care of Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St. Meadville, PA 16335.
