Paul Mudger

Paul R. Mudger, age 81, of Meadville, PA passed away unexpectedly at his daughter’s home in Imperial, PA on Monday May 8, 2023. He was born on August 26, 1941 in Meadville, PA to the late John and Dorothy (Hogan) Mudger. He married Judy Chambley on June 5, 1965. She preceded him in death on July 6, 2019.

Paul was a 1959 graduate of Meadville High School. He served in the United States Army. He was a Meadville City Fire Fighter for 33 years. He also delivered flowers for Loeffler’s. After his retirement from the fire department, he worked at Walt Disney World for 16.5 years.

Paul was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and doing his daily CodyCross puzzles. He was also a PIAA baseball and softball umpire. He was very proud of his Mt. Hope Golf Course hole-in-one. Paul had an extensive collection of pins from around the world that he collected while working at Disney. He also loved spending time with his family and grandkids.

Paul is survived by his daughters, Kelly Miller and her husband, David of Meadville, PA and Paula Kwiatkowski and her husband, Patrick of Imperial, PA and his son, Robert Mudger and his wife, Suzanne of Cochranton, PA; 6 grandchildren, Kristina Mudger (Matt Jastromb), Lindsay Cronin (Andrew), Robbie Spence (Sabre Turner), Anastasia Cocola (Greg), Patrick Kwiatkowski Jr. and Alexander Kwiatkowski; his great grandchildren, Mollie and Ryker Cronin, Adelynn, Brant, Oaklan and Lania Jastromb and Parker Cocola and his brothers, Ken Mudger and his wife, Donna and Mike Mudger and his wife, Dorothy both of Meadville, PA.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Paul was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Thomas; his sister, Diane and several brothers and sisters-in-law.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday May 16, 2023 from 1-3 pm and 5-7 pm with a service to follow at 7:00 pm at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335 with Father Jeff Lucas officiating. Full military honors will be provided by VFW Post #2006.
