Pearl Elizabeth (Mook) Wood, age 75, of Meadville, PA, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2014 at Wesbury United Methodist Community. She was born April 5, 1939 in Conneaut, Ohio the daughter of the late Benjamen F. and Nellie Lane Wimer. She married Eugene Mook. He preceded her in death. She subsequently married Russell L. Wood. He preceded her in death. Pearl had worked as a Nurse's Assistant at Rolling Fields Nursing Home and also at Wesbury United Methodist Community. Pearl loved flowers, playing bingo, animals and dancing. She enjoyed having fun and sharing her life with her best friend Janice Shinner. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. Pearl is survived by a daughter; Sandra L. Paris and her husband Anthony of Cochranton, PA, a step daughter; Carrie Goodmote of Meadville, PA, four sons; Eugene A. Mook and his wife, Tamara of Edinboro, PA, William L. Mook and his wife Tammy of Linesville, PA, James Mook of Linesville, PA and Robert A. Mook and his wife Lisa of Meadville, PA, 15 grandchildren; Jessie Mook, Jeremy Mook, Melissa Cornell, Michael Gorton, Jason Gorton, Joey Erickson, Josh Erickson, Christina Hilliard, Ashley Paris, William Mook, Marlena Mook, Steven Mook, Clarissa Mook, Daniel Mook, Cortney Mook and a step-grandson, Benjamin Goodmote, 18 great-grandchildren; four sisters; Cinderella Bavco of West Springfield, PA, Roseamay Stills of Erie, PA, Della Ann Myers of Conneaut, Ohio, and Marjorie St. John of Meadville, PA, a half-sister, Kathy Mickle of North Kingsfield, Ohio, two brothers; Roy B. Wimer of Conneaut, Ohio and Benjamen Wimer of Meadville, PA, many nieces and nephews and a special great-niece Felica. In addition to her parents and her husbands, Pearl was preceded in death by a son, Russell L. Mook, four sisters, an infant sister that passed at birth, Florence Curtis, Edna Bongornio, and Mary Jane Leonard, and twin brothers who died at birth. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 1 PM until time of the Memorial Service at 2 PM at the Faith United Methodist Church, Geneva, with Rev. Christine Rogan, officiating. Private inurnment will be in the Geneva Memorial Cemetery. Pearl wanted to be remembered as "One hell of a woman, tough and stubborn!"
