Philip Jones

Philip Lee Jones Sr., age 66, of Meadville, PA passed away on Tuesday June 22, 2021 at Meadville Medical Center.  He was born on January 26, 1955 in Meadville, PA to the late Glenn Jones and Velma Smith.  He married Edwina S. Rogers on March 31, 1973.  She survives.

Philip was a member of the Laborers Union Local 964.  He enjoyed spending time with his wife, kids and grandkids.  He liked to hunt and loved to take his grandsons fishing.  In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars with his brother, Dave.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Edwina of Meadville, PA; one daughter, Valerie Jones of Meadville, PA; one son, Phil Jones and his wife, Katie of Edinboro, PA; two grandsons, Jared and Bricen Jones; two sisters, Wanda Hunter of Saegertown, PA and Glenda Norcross of Youngstown, OH and four brothers, Dave Jones of Crossingville, PA, Marshall Jones of Geneva, PA, Dan Jones of Saegertown and Leslie “Tags” Smith of Meadville, PA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his step father, Les Smith and his brother, Jerry Jones.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday June 29, 2021 from 5-7pm at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335.  Service will take place at 7:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Hasenkopf officiating.
