R. Keith Hough

R. Keith Hough, age 82, of Conneaut Lake, PA passed away on April 19, 2021 at his residence. He was born on November 27, 1938 to the late Fred W. and Eleanor W. (Westland) Hough.

Keith graduated from Allegheny College in 1961.  He then earned his master’s degree in social work from the University of West Virginia in 1966.  He worked as a caseworker and eventually rose through the ranks, becoming the executive director of the Crawford County Board of Assistance. He retired from that position in 1998.

He was a staunch member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 50 years.  He was a past member of Conneaut Lake Park Firehall Station 5, Conneaut Lake Volunteer Fire Dept. Station 3, a board member for Center for Family Services, a member of the Conneaut Lake Historical society and a past president of the Conneaut Lake Alumni Association.

Keith is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Happy and her husband, Ken of Erie, PA and Beverly Dintaman and her husband, Don of DuBois, PA and two sons, Chris Hough of DuBois, PA and Bruce Hough and his wife, Denise of Columbia, SC; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Hough of Conneaut Lake, PA and Craig Hough and his wife, Marlene of Sharon, PA and all of his friends at the table of knowledge.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Autumn Muller and his brother, Gaylord Hough.

Friends and family are invited to call on Sunday April 25, 2021 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Dickson Funeral Home 130 N. 2 ^nd St., Conneaut Lake, PA 16316.  Funeral service will take place Monday April 26 at 11:00 am at Calvary Baptist Church, 543 Randolph St. Meadville, PA 16335 with Reverend Doug Messerall officiating.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
