Ray A. Deeter

Ray Deeter age 86 of Meadville, PA went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday January 11, 2015 at the Park Avenue Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Meadville, PA He was born April 25, 1928 in Fairhope, PA the son Hilda Deeter Bauman. He graduated from Berlin Brothers Valley High School. He served in the United States Army. He was a truck driver for most of his working years, primarily for Cooper-Jarrett, Inc. He was a member of the Lake Lutheran Church, Conneaut Lake, PA and attended Faith Geneva United Methodist Church, Conneaut Lake, PA. He was a member of the Eat and Travel Club. He enjoyed restoring lawn tractors, traveling, country music and animals. He especially enjoyed visiting Living Treasures Animal Park to feed, pet and interact with the animals there. He is survived by his close friend and companion, Naomi Smith of Meadville, PA, a sister; Donna Campbell of Normalville, PA, a step-daughter; Catherine Flick of Somerset, PA, a niece, a nephew and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hilda Deeter Bauman, his maternal grandparents, Charles and Edith Deeter, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. There will be no funeral or calling hours. A memorial service will be held at the Faith Geneva United Methodist Church at a day and time to be announced.
