Rebecca A. (Meister) Muckinhaupt, age 59, of Meadville, formerly of Cambridge Springs, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by loved ones December 30, 2018. She was born April 24, 1959 in Indianapolis, IN to Winton Meister and the late Dorothy Jean (Brown) Meister. Rebecca was a 1977 graduate of North Allegheny High School. She earned her degree in Psychology from Penn State in 1982 and earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Edinboro University. She was employed as a child therapist. Rebecca enjoyed reading, painting, gardening, antiquing and yard sales. She loved animals. She enjoyed spending time with dear friends Betsy Crouse, Robin Smith, Patty Potts, Patti Jo Moffat and many others. Rebecca is survived by her father Winton and his wife, Dorothy (Hinkel) Meister; one daughter, Jaime Muckinhaupt of Philadelphia, PA; one son, Austin Muckinhaupt and his wife, Erin of Toronto, ON; one sister, Bobbi Darr and her husband, Gary of Pittsburgh, PA; three brothers, David Meister and his wife, Janet of Pittsburgh, PA, Gary Povirk and his wife, Lisa of Idaho Falls, ID and Ronald Meister of the Washington, DC area, and sister-in-law, Patricia Meister. Rebecca was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Jean Meister and her brother, Lawrence Meister. Callling hours will be held from noon to 1 p.m. with a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home; 130 Wisconsin Avenue, Cranberry Twsp, PA 16066.
