Richard Alan Coburn

Richard Alan Coburn, age 68 of Cambridge Springs passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016 after a brief illness. He was born in Kane, PA on May 22, 1947, the son of the late Cathryn Hanold Coburn and Thomas A. Coburn, Sr.             He graduated from General McLane High School in 1966 and married his high school sweetheart, Donna Kaufman Coburn and enjoyed 49 years of marriage.             Rick worked at Firch’s Bakery for 15 years and then was co-owner of Marty’s Tavern in Erie, PA for 32 years.             Although Rick retired in 2007, he loved making sure that when his friends stopped at the garage they would be served with a glass of homemade cherry wine and good conversation. Rick also enjoyed gardening, hunting, and wine making. He especially loved his family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren and the time he spent in his garage.             He is survived by his wife Donna (Kaufman) Coburn, his son Douglas (Buffy) and their two children Katlyn and Garrett Coburn, daughter Cheri (Jeremy) Markham and their three children Tyler Festa, Faith and Hunter Markham all of Waterford, PA. He is further survived by two brothers, Thomas Coburn Jr. and Rodney (Betsy) Coburn both of McKean, PA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.                Richard was preceded in death by his parents.             Family and friends are welcome to call on Friday from 6 to 8 PM at the Cambridge Springs Presbyterian Church, 338 S. Main Street, Cambridge Springs, PA, and again on Saturday from 10 AM until time of the funeral service at 11 AM at the church, with Rev. Tommy O’Leary, Pastor of the church officiating.             Memorial contributions can be made to the Cambridge Springs Presbyterian Church, 338 S.
