Richard Paul Demaison

Richard Paul DeMaison, age 51, of Guys Mills, passed away July 24, 2013 at Meadville Medical Center. He was born October 25, 1961, at Guys Mills, the son of Roy and Treva (Karns) DeMaison. Richard was a 1979 graduate of Maplewood High School. He worked as an L.P.N. in long term care; he was an EMT and firefighter at both East Mead VFD, and the Seneca VFD. He also worked at CHANNELOCK for 8 years. He enjoyed trout fishing, and enjoyed working the streams; and hunting. Richard especially enjoyed his grandchildren. Survivors include: his significant other, Marilyn McLane, of North Huntington, PA. His father, Roy of Guys Mills, PA; two daughters, Heather Stump of Meadville and Christen and her husband, Daniel Girt of Blooming Valley; one son Richard P. DeMaison Jr. and his wife Christina of Meadville. Also surviving are two sisters: Judy DeMaison of Guys Mills and Carol Mears and her significant other, Scott Marsh of Guys Mills; and one brother Daniel DeMaison and his wife, Diane of Guys Mills; eight grandchildren, Hezekiah Stump, Noah Stump, Abigail Stump, Malecki DeMaison, Richard DeMaison, Maximus DeMaison, Leonitis Girt and Samson Girt., and three nephews, 1 niece, 2 great nephews, and one great niece. Preceding Richard in death were: his mother in 2013, a brother Gary in 1981, and a son Andrew Baumgart in 2005. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013, at 1 PM, at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, with the Reverend Father Daniel Prez, Pastor of St. Hippolytes Church, Officiating. Interment will follow at St. Hippolytes Cemetery, Frenchtown All arrangements are in the care of Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, Baldwin Street, Meadville.
