Richard Smith Sr.

Richard E. Smith Sr., age 84 of Meadville, passed away after a long illness at his residence on Monday, July 22 ^nd , 2019.  He was born on September 16, 1934 to the late Gerald Smith and Lois Browning Smith.

Dick married Gail Klinko- Waid on February 4 ^th , 1999.  She survives.  He attended Saegertown High School.  After School he worked at Agway until becoming a plumber.  He then worked until retirement at Smock Plumbing.

Dick was a Firefighter for West Meade #2 Volunteer Fire Department.  He was a past member of VFW Post # 2006 and The American Legion Post # 111. He was a life-long Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR fan.  He was an avid hunter and enjoyed gardening and bird watching.

Dick is survived by his wife, Gail Smith. His 10 Children; Dick Smith and his wife Sally of Guys Mills, Tracy Grayson and her husband Jan of Saegertown, Scott Smith and his wife Amy of Meadville, Teresa Barnes and her husband Tom of Saegertown, Eric Smith of Meadville, Kevin Smith and his wife Hollie of Saegertown, Kelly Smith of Townville, Reid Smith of Saegertown, Chris King and his wife Jennifer L. of Conneaut Lake and Chad King and his wife Rachelle of Townville.  32 Grand-children and 16 Great Grand-children.

Dick is preceded in death by his parents, former wives  Janice (Consla) Smith and Dodie (Haemer) Smith, a brother Jerry Smith and his wife Etta and a sister Jean Miller and her husband Eugene.
