Robert Alexander

Robert C. Alexander, age 78, of Lincoln Ave., Meadville, PA passed away on Monday March 20, 2023 at Marquette Hospice House after a period of declining health after the passing of his wife.  He was born on August 26, 1944 in Jamestown, NY to the late Howard and Eileen (Slater) Alexander.

Bob graduated from Townville High School in 1962.  He served in the United States Air Force from 1966-1969.  In his retirement, Bob drove cars for Smith Gray and Community Chevrolet.

He was a social member of the Saegertown American Legion and the VFW Post #2006.  He enjoyed golfing, bowling and camping and he had his own band called “Traditional Country” that he sang and played guitar in.

Bob is survived by his children, Angel Franke, Bob Alexander Jr. (Bonnie), Bill Alexander (Lori), Tina Ripper (Barry) and step-daughter, Karen Smock and her significant other, Robert Smith. His grandchildren: Ryan, Heather, Travis, Casey, Abby, Tyler, Nick and Burtis and seven great grandchildren; his brother, Richard H. Alexander and his aunt, Joan Slater.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his significant other by only 2 months, Judith Newman and his brothers, Kenneth L., James A., William R. and Donald L. Alexander.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday March 23, 2023 from 5-7 pm. at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post #2006.  A memorial service will take place at 7 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Randy Marketich of Barton Road United Brethren Church.
