Robert Barber Jr

  Robert F. Barber JR, 63, of Guys Mills passed away unexpectedly on September 27, 2018. He retired from The United States Navy as Chief Petty Officer in 1993. He worked at Hammermill Paper in Erie, Meadville Medical Center, and Crane America. He was a proud member of the NRA, Ducks Unlimited, VETS and East Mead Firehall.  Bob cherished many things in his short years of life; most importantly his love for fire arms and family. He spent most of his time hunting, being the “mayor”, at gun raffles, or simply helping others while adding his sarcastic humor into life. He spent his civilian life with his soul mate Karen where he became a daddy to her two children. He supported his kids through professional shooting with his son and countless wrestling cheerleading matches and horse shows with his daughter. He now meets again the love of his life Karen A. Mailliard, his mother Rita Barber and father Robert F Barber. He is survived by his Step-son Lawrence J. Mailliard (Reanna Mailliard) grandchildren; Lawrence J. Mailliard JR and Abbigail Mailliard, His princess Jullyan Mailliard-McClintock (Charles J. McClintock) grandchildren; Blakke McClintock and Gabriella McClintock, Brother Mark Barber (Lynn Muir), Sister Lisa Barber-Roszel, and Sister Leigh Barber-Jacobs (Joseph Jacobs). Nieces and Nephews; Heather Little (Aaron Little), Christy Fawcett (Jimmy Fawcett), Andrew Jacobs (Rachel Harper) and Kelly Tapper (Justin Tapper). Great Nieces and Nephews: Christian Little and Emily Little, James Fawcett and Caelyn Fawcett. Along with countless amounts of friends whom he left a mark in their hearts. In remembrance of his life we will have calling hours on Tuesday October 9, 2018 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Hatheway-Tedesco funeral home. A service will be held at St. Hippolyte cemetery in Frenchtown with military honors on Wednesday October 10, 2018 at 1:00PM. The family invites everyone to join them at East Mead Firehall on Route 27 for gathering after the service.
