Robert L. Chew

Robert L. Chew, age 78, of Meadville, PA passed away on Saturday March 2, 2024 after a sudden illness at Wesbury. He was born on October 19, 1946 in Camden, NJ to the late Carlton N. and Helen (Wescott) Chew.

Robert graduated from Eastern Pilgrim College in 1965. He served in the United States Army from 1966- 1969 as a machinist during the Vietnam War.  He then worked at DuPont as a lab technician for over 30 years until his retirement.  He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, doing yard work and reading.

Robert is survived by his son, Robert Chew and his wife, Julie of Hopkinsville, KY and his daughter, Beverly Getchell and her husband, Mark of Meadville, PA and his three grandchildren, Samantha, Jonathon and Elaine and his great grandchild, Malachi.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

As per his wishes, there will be no services.

Robert will be laid to rest at Greendale Cemetery.
