Robert Holcomb, Sr.

Robert G. Holcomb, Sr., 94, of Cambridge Springs, PA went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday January 28, 2022.

Robert (Chic) was born on December 5, 1927 in Erie, PA to the late George and Gussy (Ziegler) Holcomb.  He married Pearl Wallis on December 18, 1948.  She preceded him in death on April 17, 2014.

Robert was a Veteran serving in the United States Navy on the demolition crew in 1943.  After the military, in his earlier years he was a farmer until 1965.  He then worked and retired from SMC in Saegertown, PA.

Robert thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors.  He was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing, camping, boating and went on numerous trips to Canada with his sons and grandsons to bear hunt.  He loved to travel and always had a bag ready to go.

He is survived by his sons, Robert and his wife, Pam and Bill and his wife, Pam and Mark and his wife, Joan; one brother, John Holcomb and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Price.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Robert will be laid to rest next to his wife in Jervis Cemetery.
