Robert W. Laverty

Robert W. Laverty, age 68, of Saegertown, PA passed away at his home on Thursday August 29,2024. He was born on June 4, 1956 in Erie,PA to the late Richard and Bonita (Lyth) Laverty.  He married LaRayne Battles on April 1, 1989. She survives.

Robert was employed at T. Bruce Campbell Road and Bridge Construction. He retired early due to an injury in 1997.  Robert enjoyed building bridges. He watched Grace Community Church from Waterford every Sunday on the television. Robert loved working on cars, tinkering, building things, cookouts, and   camping, walking Woodcock Dam and going on trips to Vegas and Myrtle Beach.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and his animals Blue, Lucy Lou and Lacy Grace.

In addition to his wife of 45 years LaRayne, Robert is survived by 2 daughters; Karen (Todd) Clayton of Mercer, PA and ChaReace Irwin of Saegertown, PA, 2 sons; Glenn Irwin of Saegertown, PA and Gabe Laverty of Japan, seven grandchildren; Justin and Ashlee Irwin, Brittany and Tera Irwin, Jacob Clark, Alice and Noah Laverty; four great-grandchildren; one sister Gena Laverty of Sharon, PA and one brother Jimmy Laverty of Sharon, PA.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers R.J. and Billy.

Per the family’s wishes, there will be no services.
