Robert Nelson

Bob Nelson, age 77, of Conneaut Lake, PA passed away suddenly on September 11, 2024. He was born on January 4, 1947 in Oak Park, IL to the late Arthur and Osca Marie (Joubert) Nelson. He married Sandra Harton on December 14, 1984. Bob was already planning their 40th anniversary party to be held in December of this year.

After graduating from high school, Bob served in the US Army from 1967-1969 in Germany as a prison guard. After returning from the service, Bob and Sandy moved to California where he worked as an insurance salesman for car dealerships until his retirement in 2004.

He was active in the Lion’s Club in CA. After retiring to Conneaut Lake, PA, he enjoyed boating and spending time at the lake.

In addition to his loving wife, Sandy he is survived by his stepson, Stephen Katz of North Hills, CA and his granddaughter, Sarah Katz; many brothers and sisters-in-law; his close friends, Tonya and Tom and his favorite cat, Scooter.

As per Bob’s wishes, there will be no public services.

He will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
