Robert E. “Bob” Steider, age 84 of Conneaut Lake, PA, passed away on December 3, 2016 at UPMC Hamot. He was born on December 4, 1931 in Shickley, NE to the late Harold and Helen (Oswald) Steider. He married Nellie Miller on August 8, 1953; she survives.   Bob left school early in order to help with the family farm. He was a very smart man and returned to school in 1988 in order to obtain his GED, an accomplishment he was very proud of. He owned and worked his dairy farm in Cochranton, PA until 1980. He then worked for the Pennsylvania Farmers Association from 1989 until his retirement in 2009. He served as a Regional Organization Director and a Crop Insurance Adjuster.   Surviving Bob in addition to his wife are 2 daughters and 3 sons: Bonnie and her husband, Bruce Atwell, of Meadville, Luanne and her husband, Chuck Mulidoro, of Conneaut Lake, Steve and his wife, Kim, of Cochranton, Mike and his wife, Edie, of Cochranton and Pete and his wife, Melanie, of Meadville. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, Heather Keas, Kelly (Doug) Schrock, Ben Manuel, Rob (Kristy) Manuel, Anthony (Chandra) Mulidoro, Nick (Ashton) Mulidoro, Katie Steider, Dustin Steider, Chad (Steph) Steider, Stephanie (Andrew Gehr) Steider, Dylan Craft, Travis Craft, Tyler Steider and Jordyn Steider and 12 great-grandchildren, Kelsey Trimmer, Kaycee Keas, Braden Keas, Ryen Manuel, Kolton Schrock, Hayden Manuel, Sawyer Manuel, Hunter  Mulidoro, Chase Mulidoro, Avery Mulidoro, Matthew Craft and Darren Craft. Bob is also survived by 5 sisters and 2 brothers: Mary and her husband, George Fast, of Kitchener, ON, Joan Wenger of Ontario, CA, Margaret Steider of Chicago, IL, Dorothy Dunmire of Seneca, PA, Barbara Claude of Chicago, IL, Richard and his wife, Roberta, of Shipshewana, IN and David and his wife, Linda, of Warren, OH. Bob is also survived by his sister-in-law, Roy Ann Steider, of LaGrange, IN and many nieces and nephews.   Preceding Bob in death are his parents, an infant son Jarold and a brother, Paul.   A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Bob was a loving example to his family, an inspiration to many and a friend to all who knew him. His love for the Lord was an integral part of his life and that love spilled over into all areas of his life. He was an active member of High Street Community Church, where he served on the elder board.   Calling hours will be on Wednesday, December 7 from 4PM until 7PM at Dickson Funeral Home. Additional calling will be on Thursday, December 8 at High Street Community Church, 9517 US HWY 322, Conneaut Lake, PA beginning at 10AM until the funeral at 11AM, with the Rev. Ryan Austie officiating. Burial will take place in Sunnyside Mennonite Cemetery, 12981 Faust Rd., Conneaut Lake, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 N. Second St., Conneaut Lake, PA, Rocco R. Tedesco, III, Supervisor. Please sign the online registry at hatheway-tedesco.com.
