Rolanda Chaney

November 29, 1959 — September 5, 2020

Rolanda (Randee) Chaney, age 60, of Fifth Ward, Meadville, PA passed away suddenly at home.  She was born on November 28, 1959 in Meadville, PA to the late Roland (Pete) Kimple and Frances (Miller) Kimple.  She married Robert Chaney, Jr.  He preceded her in death.

Randee graduated from Meadville High School in 1977 and in 2009 she earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Edinboro University. Randee had a strong faith in God. She was a free spirit, a warrior and had a zest for life. She gave love, support and hope freely to all that crossed her path. She was an advocate for many and inspired those around her. She helped many people in their recovery and was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, caretaker and friend.

She enjoyed listening to music, laying on the beach, singing, traveling, nature, Halloween, riding her Harley Davidson and loving her dog, Bella Rose. She idolized Janice Joplin and was proud of her many tattoos.

Randee is survived by her mother, Frances Kimple of Meadville, PA; one son, Russell Chaney and his significant other, Jacqueline Lee Smith of Meadville, PA; one brother, David Kimple and his significant other, Missie of Meadville, PA; nieces, Amy Kellerman and her husband, Kyle and their children, Addy, Dakota and Jordan of Meadville, PA, Amber Kimple and her significant other, Nat and their children,  Mia (who called Randee “Aunt Whammy”), Jade and Halen of San Antonio, TX and Stephanie Kimple (Nunu) and her fiancée, Jason and their children, Anaveya, Brielle, Raven and Jason, Jr. of Meadville, PA; her dog, Bella and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father; her daughter, Jessica Rose Kimple; brothers, Dennis Kimple and Robert Kimple and her infant sister, Sharon Kimple.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

“When Tomorrow Starts Without Me- When tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand that an angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand; the angel said my place was ready, In Heaven, far above, And that I’d have to leave behind all those I dearly love.  But when I walked through Heaven’s Gates, I felt so much at home, for God looked down, smiled at me, and told me ‘Welcome Home.’  So when tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart, for every time you think of me, I am right there in your hearts!”

Please sign Randee’s online guestbook at www.hatheway-tedesco.com .

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335.
