Ronald Marshall Byers

Ronald M. Byers, 77, of Saegertown, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born on June 25, 1941 in Meadville, the son of the late Paul Byers and Gert (Flick) Couples. He married Lois (Cutshall) Byers on August 4, 1962.  She preceeded him in death on March 28, 2010.

Through the years, Ron worked as a commercial painter and then moved into Talon as a painter and mill wright.  In 1988, Ron and Lois started Byers Polishing in Saegertown where they worked until retirement in 2004. Ron enjoyed farming, camping, hunting ,fishing and woodworking.  He was a man of many talents who enjoyed working on his tractors and helping others.

Ron is survived by his children, Kevin Byers, Jon Shank, Tami Urquhart, Ron Byers and his wife Luanna; 9 grand-children, Ian Urquhart, Amber Diegleman and her husband Daniel, Hope Byers, Zach Byers, Mike Gregor and his wife Jessica, Hunter Humes, Margie Ward and Mason Muetzel.  Two great grandchildren, Dane and Amera Diegelman.

Ron is also survived by his siblings, Janet Parker and her husband Bob of Raleigh Durham, Robert Byers and his wife Violet of Conneaut Lake, Curtis Byers and his wife Fran of Colorado Springs, Ester Hassel, Diane Roth and her husband Ernest, Ruth Miles and her husband Tom, Paul Byers, Larry Byers and his wife Cindy and Jackie Musch of Sharon, PA.

A private Church Service will be held at the familie’s convenience. Arrangements are under the direction of Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St. Meadville, PA 16335.   In-Lieu-of flowers please make monetary donations to Saegertown Volunteer Fire Department, 601 Erie St. Saegertown, PA 16433 and Saegertown Area Library 325 Broad St. Saegertown, PA 16433.  The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Jill Miller and staff, Dr. Jason Brown of the Yolonda G.
