Ronald Luman Jackson, age 80 of Meadville, PA died Monday, April 29, 2013 at Meadville Medical Center. He was born March 25, 1933, in Erie, PA the son of the late Ernest K. and Nina (Luman) Jackson. He had been employed as a Tool & Die maker, retiring from Plastek, in Erie. He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing and Golfing. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had served in both the U. S. Marines and the U. S. Army National Guard. He is survived by two daughters, Cathy Hall of Meadville, PA, and Cheryl Jackson of Meadville, PA; a son, Steven Jackson and his wife, Diane of Rockingham, NC; five grandchildren, Joshua Hall, Alexis Hall, Kari Jackson, Allison Jackson, and Daniel Jackson. Also surviving is his former wife and friend, Barbara Filegar Jackson of Meadville, PA., one sister, Marge Lollar of California, and two brothers, Randy Jackson and Tommy Jackson both of California. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Daniel Jackson, his twin brother, Donald Jackson, three sisters, Dorothy Rickertt, Jean Cooper, and Audrey Piantoni, and by two brothers, Eddie Jackson and Dave Jackson. There will be no calling hours and the memorial service will be at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Salvation Army, 1087 Park Avenue, Meadville, PA 16335.
