Ronald E. Kessler

Ronald E. Kessler, age 62, of Meadville, PA passed away on November 21, 2013 at his residence. He was born November 10, 1951 in Meadville, PA the son of the late Richard Kessler and Beatrice Cady McCray He served the city of Meadville for 21 years as a City Fireman, with the Rank of Captain. He also was a self- employed contractor. He was a member of the New Beginnings Church of God, Meadville, PA He was a member of the Taylor Hose, the Meadville Italian Civic Club (ICC), Meadville Eagles Club, Vernon Central Fire Company, the VFW Post 2006, Meadville, PA and the American Legion Post 111. He enjoyed carpentry work, and enjoyed playing pool and darts. He especially liked riding his motorcycle. He is survived by two daughters, Renee Delaney of Meadville, PA and Becky Gallagher and her husband, Mark of Vidor, Texas; three grandchildren; a grandson, Michael Frantz and two granddaughters Meggan Gallagher and Emily Gallagher; two sisters, Patricia Kneubehl of Springboro, PA and Kathy Fry and her husband David of Greenville, PA; four brothers, Rick Cady of Guys Mills, PA, Wayne Kessler and his wife, Patty of Meadville, PA and Terry Kessler of Ohio, and Patrick Cady. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by a brother Richard Cady. Family and friends may call on Monday from 1 to 4 PM and all are welcome to attend the funeral service at 4 PM at the New Beginnings Church of God, 13226 Leslie Road, Meadville, PA with Pastor Temple Jarrell, officiating.
