Ronald C. Labeka

Ronald C. Labeka, age 78, of Meadville, PA passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017 at Wesbury.             He was born November 17, 1938 the son of the late Michael Labeka and Marie Zatwarsky Labeka.             Ronald had worked as a chef in the Pittsburgh area, Texas, Arkansas and in Florida.  He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, obtaining the rank of Corporal (E4), having served from February 18, 1957 until he was honorably discharged on November 17, 1963.  He enjoyed fishing and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Over the past eight years Ron lived happily amongst his friends at the Shryock apartments. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Wesbury for their thorough and compassionate care.             Ronald is survived by his son: Brett C. Labeka and his wife Susan of Meadville, two daughters: Pam Balzer and her husband Joe of Ringoes, New Jersey and Rona Smith and her husband Jeff of Charleston, West Virginia, six grandchildren: Rebecca Balzer, Hannah Balzer, Jacob Smith, Payne Smith, Alexis Labeka, and Ashley Labeka,  two sisters: Gloria Woodcock and her husband Owen of Moon Township, PA and Joan Finland of Palm Harbor, FL, and his former wife: Adria A. Labeka of McKees Rocks, PA.             He was preceded in death by his parents.
