Ron Toth, 74, of E Pine St Cochranton Pa. passed away June 16, 2022 at Meadville Medical Center after a 3 month battle with leukemia, he previously had battled prostate cancer. He was born June 13, 1948 in Morgantown, WV to John & Mary (Luchok) Toth. He was a 1967 graduate of St Francis DeSales Catholic High School, Morgantown. He served in the US Air Force from March 1968 to Oct 1971 and spent 18 months in Vietnam, receiving a Bronze Star with V for Valor. He married E. Carole Stubbs on Oct 12, 1974 and she survives him at home, his is also survived by his daughters Elizabeth Pilkington of Coatesville, Pa and Rebecca Groover of Meadville, Pa., his grandsons James (Taylor) Groover of Edinboro, Pa and Devin Groover of Coatesville, Pa. and great grandson Liam James Groover due in Nov.; his sisters JoAnn Toth and Ellen (John) McCabe of Morgantown, his brothers Charles (Larissa) Toth of Gettysburg, Pa and his twin Robert (Sharon) Toth of Morgantown. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brothers John Toth & Michael Toth and his sister Rosemary Orosz Hoholick. He is further survived by many beloved nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He was employed for over 30 years as an equipment operator at Maurice K. Goodard State Park, Sandy Lake, Pa after retirement he worked for several summers at the Cochranton Cemetery. He was a member of Cochranton American Legion Post 836 and Meadville VFW The family would like to thank the nurses on 3rd North at MMC for their excellent care of Ron during his final days and the doctors and support staff that worked so hard to make him comfortable, they were a blessing to him and the family. He was cremated and will be laid to rest in Cochranton Cemetery at a later date, there will be no calling hours or service. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to a charity of your choice such as the Anna Shelter in Erie. Hathaway-Tedesco and Dickson funeral home in Meadville is in charge of arrangements.
