Rose E. DeBaise (Mama Rose), 89, formerly of Meadville, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2015, at South Seminole Hospital in Longwood, Florida. Rose had resided in Altamonte Springs, with her daughter, Mary Jo (Tagliaferri) Sauers for the past five years. She was born April 4, 1926 in Meadville, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Euliano DeBaise. She was formerly married to the late Joe Tagliaferri who preceded her in death in 1997. She attended Meadville High School. She had been employed at the American Viscose Corp., Talon, where she retired after 30 years and was the former owner and operator of College LaRoma Pizza Shop and LaRoma Pizza Shop on North St. She also worked at Keystone Blind Association. She enjoyed spending her time cooking and baking. Rose was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was a member of the ICC, a life member of the VFW, the R.S.V.P., and The Hunting and Fishing Club. She is survived by 2 daughters, Marlene Tagliaferri Ruppa, of Altamonte Springs, FL, Mary Jo Tagliaferri Sauers of Altamonte Springs, FL.; 5 grandchildren, Joey Swasta and his wife Michelle, Angela Tagliaferri, Joshua Aaron Sauers and his wife Vicki (Waters), Adonia Rose Sauers and Krystle Noel Sauers; 4 great grandsons, Shawn Swasta, Hunter James Sauers, Noah Jeffrey Sauers and Jayhden Love Sauers; 2 great granddaughters, Hannah Rose Sauers and Haley Elizabeth Sauers; and two step-grandchildren; Adam Waters and Autumn Waters, three brothers, Sylvester (Sonny) DeBaise and his wife Carol of Meadville, Andrew (Babe) DeBaise and his wife Diane and Arthur DeBaise of Meadville. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Charlene Tagliaferri Scannell and one sister, Mary DeBaise Phillips and a sister-in-law Fanny DeBaise, three son-in-laws: James Sauers, Bob Ruppa and John Scannell. There are no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 10AM, at St. Mary of Grace Church, 1085 Water Street, Meadville, PA with Father Matthew Kujawinski, as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Keystone Blind Association, 310 Chestnut Street, #103, Meadville, PA 16335.
