Rose Gehr

Rose Marie Gehr, age 72, of Saegertown, PA passed away at home on Monday September 27, 2021.  She was born on July 17, 1949 in Pleasantville, PA to the late Jack Sr. and Ardell (Daugherty) Vanderhoof.  She married Donald Gehr on August 13, 1986.  He survives.

Rose worked many years at Crawford County Care Center and recently retired from there.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and traveling to Michigan to visit family.

She is survived by her husband, Don; two daughters, Melissa Troupe of Douglas, GA and Mary Jo Chaplin and her husband, Rob of Three Rivers, MI and one son, Jack Rumzie of Three Rivers, MI; four stepchildren, Melissa, Joey, Donald and Marlena; two sisters, Carol Bell of Centerville, PA and Debra Bergholtz of GA and two brothers, Jack Vanderhoof Jr. of WV and Bill Vanderhoof of FL and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael S. Rumzie and three sisters, Karen, Darla and Elaine and three brothers, Richard, David and Herman.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday September 30, 2021 from 4-7 pm at Stainbrook Park Shelter, 21762 German Rd., Meadville, PA 16335.
