Rosemary Calvert

Our Mother Rosemary Calvert of Conneaut Lake, PA passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 18, 2023. She was 76 years old.

Rosemary was born in Meadville PA to Clarence Winiecke and Mary Mosbacher on January 24, 1947, she was a 1964 graduate of Meadville Area Senior High School. Rosemary married her husband of 57 years, Eugene E Calvert Sr on December 28, 1966, in Hartstown PA.

Rosemary worked various jobs around Conneaut Lake while helping our father on the farm and being the best mother possible to her two children. She retired as photographer at the PA Driver License Center, where she enjoyed getting to know new people and talking with everyone she met.

Our mother had several interests. She loved being with her family and being around people. Her favorite activities included going for rides around the country-side and then stopping and having a coffee. She also enjoyed baking, crocheting, sewing, hosting picnics and family gatherings as well as Sunday dinners at her house, and creating homemade bears with handwritten letters for her grandchildren. She loved sitting on her porch with dad watching the jets fly over their house at sunset, the animals in the field, and listening to the birds.

Rosemary is preceded in death by her father and mother Clarence and Mary (Mosbacher) Winiecke, a sister Gloria Johnson, a brother John Winiecke, a mother in-law Evelyn C Calvert, a brother-in-law Bernard Calvert, and her two favorite dogs Munchie and Ginger.

Rosemary is survived by her loving husband Eugene E Calvert Sr; a sister, Theresa Trypus (Harmonsburg, PA); a brother and sister in law, Charles & Shirley Calvert (Hartstown, PA), sister in law, Ruth Calvert (Conneaut Lake, PA); a son Eugene Calvert Jr and his wife Jennifer Calvert (Harmonsburg, PA), a daughter Kandice Zorn and Rusty Smith (Meadville, PA); Grandchildren: Nicole Calvert and her Fiance Evan Sanzari (Meadville, PA), Karissa Zorn and Devin Slagle (Chicago, IL), Zachary Calvert and wife Kaylie Calvert (Meadville, PA), Angela Kucharski and husband Nick Kucharski (South Charleston, OH ), Kaitlyn Calvert (Harmonsburg, PA), and two Great Grandchildren, Lane Bailey (Meadville, PA) and Thea Calvert (Meadville, PA); and several nieces and nephews.

At our mother’s request there will be no calling hours. A memorial picnic will be announced at a later date to celebrate her life and memory.
