Roy Dene Pittman

Roy Dene Pittman, age 66, of Centerville passed on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at his residence. Roy was born on October 6, 1949 in Titusville, PA the son of the late Roy Orley Pittman and Betty Jean Magness, Pittman. Roy married Laura Lee Webster. She survives. Roy served in the United States Marine Corps.   He was a state oil and gas well inspector; as well as a blaster. Roy was a 20 year member of the Sheriff’s Posse. He was a former president of the PA Gun Owners Association and served as the editor of the Pa Gun Owners Association Newsletter. He was a collector of guns and was a very strong supporter of the 2nd amendment. He loved his Country. Survivors include his wife Laura of Benson, Arizona; two daughters: Donna J. Cyr and her husband Greg of Sterling Heights, Michigan and Paula J. Pittman of Traverse City, Michigan; a son Chad D. Pittman and his wife Shannon of Beverly, Kansas; six grandchildren: Tyler C. Cyr, Colin P. Cyr, Noah J. Cyr, Autum B. Pittman, Austin D. Pittman and Hailey R. Pittman. Also surviving is a brother: Rodney Pittman of Charlevoix, Michigan and nieces and nephews: Roger Pittman, Ryan Pittman, Jennifer McCoy, and Kelly Pittman. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ray Gene Pittman, and a nephew Randy Pittman. A “Celebration of Life” service will be held in Roy’s honor on Saturday, April 2, 2016 beginning at 2 PM at Gina’s Restaurant, Route 8, Centerville, PA 16404 The Pittman family would appreciate memorials be sent to the funeral home.
