Ruth Naomi Fisher

Beloved wife and mother Ruth Naomi Gettle Fisher of Zambia Africa/ Ephrata, Pa graduated to Glory with honors on July 11, 2016 at Rolling Fields Elder Care Community, 9108 State Highway 198 Conneautville, PA. She graduated high school in Ephrata and went on to graduate from Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She loved first the Lord and what He asked of her to do, which was helping people, always putting their needs before her own, making sure the correct thing was always done. Ruth gave her life for others all around the world but mainly in Africa, for 53 years, working as a missionary and nurse in Southern Rhodesia (Zimbabwe), Northern Rhodesia (Zambia), Zaire (D.R.C.) and back in Zambia. She is survived by her loving husband Stephen S Fisher of Elverson, PA,  also surviving are her son Samuel Fisher - wife Jill and daughter Anita Trythall - husband Randy, grandchildren Qatiah Fisher, R.Henry Trythall and Catherine Trythall, Ben Busch - wife Mallory, Katie Busch and great granddaughter Kendall and sister Annetta Zimmerman of Palmyra. She is also survived by children in Zambia whom became her children in the orphanage she and Stephen ran. A memorial service will be held at Rolling Fields Elder Community on July 23 from two to five. An additional memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on August 13, 2016 at the Reamstown Church of God, 400 Pfautz Hill Road, Stevens, PA.  Please come to join us as we celebrate the life well lived and share with us memories, times of laughter and times of tears.
