Ruth Marie Lemke, age 72, of Conneaut Lake, passed away on May 12, 2016 at Meadville Medical Center. She was born on November 24, 1943 in Springboro, PA, the daughter of Walter H. Payne and F. Marie Powell (Payne). She was married to Dale (Sam) E. Lemke who preceded her in death on September 2, 2003. Ruth attended Conneaut Valley School, PA and graduated from North Kingsville High School, OH. Ruth was currently retired, but she previously worked at Valesky's, Country Fair, Spauldings, Bortnor's Smokehouse, Seymore Ducks, Loblaws, Riverside and Golden Dawn. She was a member of the Protestant Faith. Ruth enjoyed country music, dancing, camping with family and friends, her note tablet, the casino, telling jokes, and her sense or humor. She was lovingly referred to as "Goofball" and "Cindy." She will be remembered for her "sloppy joes" and "tomato juice." Surviving Ruth are 3 daughters: Debra L. Schultz (Tom) of Conneautville. Denise R. Allen of Queen Valley, AZ. Ronda K. Lemke of Conneaut Lake. Ruth is also survived by 1 son: Rick J. Lemke (Kum Yon) of Crestview, FL. Five grandchildren also survive: Heidi Stanish (fiancé Joe Watkins), Joshua and Andrew Lemke, Shelby and Alexis Allen. Five great grandchildren are also surviving: Hannah, Breanna and Damion Stanish, Nicole and Taylor Watkins. She is survived by two sister-in-laws: Marianne Payne and Phyllis McGowan (Don), two Aunts: Harriet Trucco and Marion Salzer and several nieces and nephews. Further survived by special friends: Bob, Brenda, Dana, Eloise, Fred, Linda, Mark, Mary, Marvin, Maxine, Nancy, Richie, Susie, Larry, Terry, Marsha, and many others. One sister also survives: Alice E. Mattern of Guys Mills. Ruth is also survived by two brothers: Francis H. Payne (Norma) of Conneautville and Milton C. Payne (Ingrid) of Springboro. Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband is a brother Charles "Charlie" Payne, a son-in-law Mark Allen and two grand-daughters Melissa Lemke and Madison Allen. Calling hours for Ruth will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2016 from 1 pm to 5 pm at the Dickson Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N Second Street, Conneaut Lake. Services will immediately follow with Robert Valesky, a dear friend, officiating. That will conclude the funeral services.
