Ryan Lee Markey 37 of Meadville, PA died at his residence on Jan. 29, 2021. Following an agonizing battle with addiction that he has lost. Ryan was born Warren, PA on July 29, 1983. He was the son of the late Julie Markey. He was never able to find his father even after searching for him. Ryan was raised by his grandmother Patricia Markey and William Brunner who precede him in death.
He worked at Warren Tire in his youth, than he went to the oil fields, Superior Tire and most currently at Lester Miller Masonry of Meadville. Ryan was a very hard worker putting in a 110%. His favorite job was being a dad to his daughter Kayden. He loved her with all his heart and would give her the moon if she wanted it.
He was considered a Beast of a man; know by people in his younger days for his fighting. In reality if you knew him he was a big teddy bear with a heart of gold. He had many friends from all walks of life. He was quick witted and love telling a good hunting or fishing story. He was known for his sense of humor, his sarcasm and a smile that made you smile and hug like he really missed you and loved you.
He was an avid outdoors men; fishing, hunting and camping. He loved movies and eating food. He had entered a few foods eating contest and won. He loved music and enjoyed singing, he had a decent voice. Lifting weights was a big part of Ryan life and so was helping his cousin Blair train for his UFC fight.
He survived by two Sisters Lindsey Markey and Jessica Robeson (Pudge). Pudge was more like a mother to him and when they were younger the two were always together. His daughter Kayden Markey, Girlfriend Randilea Eck two girls that had him wraps around there little fingers. Uncles Tim Markey (Tonya Czech), Doug McClain(Debbie) and Shayne McClain will sadly miss Ryan. Ryan had many nephews, family and friends that were like his brothers and sisters that are deeply sadden by his passing.
When Ryan was sober he was the nicest, funniest and strongest person I knew.
HE carried something that none of us could see, he had demons that he fought every day of his life since his mother died when he was five. The guilt that he could never let goes, the longing for acceptance and love that he could not get. He tried to please everyone around him at the sacrifice of his own happiness for others. He is at peace, no more demons can chase him. He is free from the shackles that bind him to this earth. Be free my brother and fly away until we meet again.
In lieu of flowers please send donation to the Kayden Markey scholarship fund through Northwest Saving Bank. Family is also asking that friends and family send fond memories and kind words in cards so that Kayden can have some idea of who her dad was. Jessica Robeson 5 Vine Street, Warren Pa, 16365.
