Sandra Hoover

Sandra Kay Hoover, age 86, of Conneaut Lake, PA passed away at her home surrounded by family on Wednesday April 10, 2024.  She was born on July 13, 1938 to the late Noble and Goldie (Troutner) Young.    She married Arthur Hoover Jr. on October 20, 1962.  He survives.

Sandy graduated from Conneaut Lake High School.  She was employed at her daughters’ office, Dr. Candyce Lucian.  She was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas church.  She volunteered at Meadville Medical Center.  She was a member of the Rosary Society of OLQA.  She was a homemaker that was very involved in her grandchildrens’ activities.  She was the original founder and coach of the Lakerettes Softball Team, leading them to win 10 State Championships and 8 National Championships in a row.

In addition to her loving husband of 61 years, Arthur, she is survived by her daughter, Dr. Candy Lucian and her significant other, Dan Mohorovich of Conneaut Lake, PA and her son, Eric A. Hoover and his wife, Annette of Conneaut Lake, PA; her four grandchildren, Taylor Lucian, Justin Hoover,   Jordan Walker and McKenna Weaver and her great granddaughter, Theodora Walker and one sister, Helen Kershner of Greenville, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Clara Bell Page and Margaret Miller and her brother, Roy Young.

As per Sandy’s wishes, there will be no services.
